Aluco Elite Heritage Style doors in a Repurposed Commercial Building
The existing doors were grey, rotten and bowed wood doors with a louvre panel ventilation grille above. The space was to be repurposed and prepared for a new use, providing light, security, and the iconic look you only get with heritage style doors. The result is a full-height door and screening combination, set within the original brick opening, with uninterrupted views out across the surrounding Suffolk countryside.
The focal point of the new screen is a pair of double doors from our brand new Aluco Elite system from our Exterior Collection. The double doors and surround framing are powder-coated in the ever-popular RAL 9005 matt black finish. Smaller side panes on each side and glazed panels above create one of our most popular design styles. Glazing bars line through perfectly, and the entire screen with doors looks balanced and symmetrical.
The slim profiles, floating lock design, and understated detailing deliver a dramatic visual upgrade, while the screen itself introduces more light and usability to the space.

As with all our Aluco Elite products, we manufacture these from premium-grade aluminium profiles, all of our design. These features include deep polyamide thermal breaks for outstanding energy efficiency and high performance glass.
All glazing is carried out from the inside for improved security and ease of maintenance. The doors are glazed with 28mm toughened safety glass units incorporating soft-coat low-emissivity coatings, warm edge spacer bars, and argon gas fill, ensuring a comfortable internal environment and excellent thermal performance.
