Aluco Aluminium profiles.
Our exterior system comes with high-grade aluminium profiles, to BS EN 755-9 and BS EN 12020, extruded to 6063 T6 alloy. 6063 T6 alloy is regarded as an architectural alloy because of its suitability for exterior-grade windows and doors and where window designs are more complex. The surface finish of our exterior-grade aluminium profiles is of the best quality and corrosion resistance, especially for applying colour, whether powder-coated or metallic anodised finishes.
Aluco exterior aluminium profiles use the latest polyamide thermal insulation materials, separating the internal and external profiles, whilst providing added strength. This thermal material, combined with our high-specification glass units ensures the Aluco Exterior Collection has excellent thermal performance, helping lower energy bills, meet current Building Regulations and provide interior comfort.
For our bespoke Aluco Elegance Collection, we use high quality aluminium using 6060-grade material. 6060 is also architectural quality, with the same impressive corrosion resistance and suitability for colouring. The added advantage of this modern aluminium material is its suitability for creating complex cross-sections that are a feature of Aluco internal doors with their distinctive and desirable grid-like pattern.
Unlike our exterior system, Aluco internal doors and screens use solid aluminium profiles as no thermal break is required internally. As a result, we can make our doors substantially thinner.
Powder coated finishes
The colouring of aluminium not only provides the required black or any other colour but also performs an important role in protecting the mill finish aluminium profile beneath. Our materials are coated only by professional applicators, and approved to the Qualicoat Standard, which is one of the internationally-recognised standards for colouring and protecting architectural-quality aluminium. Even the manufacturers of the colour powder itself are approved to the same high standards.
The quality of the powder-coated finish on every Aluco interior door is the same grade and thickness used on our external systems, where the demands placed on these are greater than internal doors with exposure to the weather, airborne pollutants and contaminants. Aluco Glass
Whether you choose double or triple glazing for our exterior windows and doors or single glass for our Elegance Interior Collection, all Aluco Glass is made by the world’s renowned glass process and manufacturers, such as Pilkington or Saint-Gobain. We choose the best quality glass for your internal doors giving the best possible clarity, quality and safety.
Our toughened or laminated glass is produced to the latest British and European standards, such as BS6262, BS EN 12150 and other relevant glass standards covering tolerances, safety, flatness, edges and physical characteristics. Only safety glass is ever provided in an Aluco door.
Aluco Manufacturing Quality – hardware and components
Aluco doors, windows and screens comprise a substantial number of components, both the physical hardware that makes interacting with our doors and windows special, or the hidden components part of the outstanding design and product quality.
Where required, we use the best quality Q-lon perimeter gasket seals. acknowledged as some of the best on the market because of their exceptional performance over any temperature and resistance to stretching, shrinking or fading. Woolpile seals or EPDM gaskets used are all to established quality standards, as used on architectural=quality windows and doors.
Locks and deadbolts are manufactured by the best hardware manufacturers and tested to BS EN 12209 : 2003, depending on the type and model fitted to the door.
Creating a bespoke Aluco product
We use the latest-generation cutting and machining centres for every Aluco product, with all other assemblies by hand. Our modern factory, fully trained staff, processes and company ethos are focused on creating doors and windows of the highest possible quality. Seamless joints and corners, high quality hardware, reliable opening and closing action and long-term reliability come as standard. And because so many of our products are fitted inside the home, office, bars and restaurants, the focus on quality is crucial because our doors are used every single day, meaning they must stand up to the rigours of family life and be reliable and dependable.
Aluco interior doors promise something truly special for any space from one of the original designers and creators of steel-look, heritage and industrial-styled doors. Our unique doors are fitted only by our carefully selected, fully trained and approved Aluco Approved Installers, each door crafted with the purpose of providing maximum impact and enjoyment in any room.
